My name is Gillian Thomas, I was born in Bury and have always had a passion for complementary therapies and alternative ways of healing. I am a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists. I have a Degree in Complementary Therapies, and a Post Graduate Certificate in working with adults who present with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of recent or past negative life experiences. I have attended various training courses on the psychoanalytic work of Freud, Jung, Rogers, Laing, Assagioli, Maslow, Janov and Szasz. These studies together with my own personal experiences of homeostatic imbalances, give me unique insight and purpose to support clients who are struggling with anxieties, stress, and many other debilitating issues .
My methodology for Integrated combination therapies for mental health sufferers, is to offer a safe comfortable place for them to try and address the unconscious material in their psyche that may be having a negative impact on their mental health.
I am currently studying with the School of Natural Health Sciences and have studied Contemporary Mental Health issues as part of my ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development). As a complementary therapist I work alongside GP's advice and prescribed medication. This maximises health benefits.
